ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Jefferson County officials are investigating a possible cyberattack that forced the shutdown of some phone and online systems.

Administrators said they identified a security threat Friday within the county network and are working to determine its impact.

Officials said there is no indication of a data breach, but the network and phone system were taken offline as a precaution.

The threat did not impact law enforcement operations of the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, officials said.
