Bayside police searching for man missing since Labor Day

Bayside police are trying to locate 57-year-old Arthur J. Jones to check on his well-being.

Jones voluntarily left his home on Labor Day with an unidentified person in a red-orange Hyundai Tucson, police said.

He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, dark pants and black-and-white Nike shoes. He also had a green duffel bag.

Jones left his personal belongings behind and did not tell anyone where he was going or how long he planned to be gone. Police said the behavior is unusual for him.

Anyone with information about Jones' whereabouts is asked to contact the Bayside Police Department.
