4 in custody after shootout during attempted vehicle theft in Glendale Glendale police said one person was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries following a shootout outside an apartment complex. Four people are in custody following an exchange of gunfire during an attempted vehicle theft at a Glendale apartment complex early Monday morning, according to police. Glendale police said officers were called to North Sidney Place, near West Mill Road, around 1:45 a.m. for a report of armed people attempting to steal a vehicle. As officers were responding, police said gunfire was exchanged between the people involved. One person was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A WISN 12 News crew saw officers from the Glendale and Whitefish Bay police departments investigating in the parking lot of the Glen Hills Apartments. Police tape surrounded part of the area, and dozens of evidence markers were placed on the ground around a vehicle. Police said a 33-year-old Glendale man, a 29-year-old Glendale woman, a 17-year-old Milwaukee boy and a 17-year-old Sheboygan boy are in custody. Police have not said which person was shot or what charges could be filed but said there is no further risk to the public.
