A suspect accused of a fatal double shooting in Pompano Beach after an argument broke out while he was gambling appeared before a judge on Sunday. Rau Lee Davis Jr. was charged with second-degree murder and attempted murder. According to the Broward Sheriff's Office, just before midnight on Friday, deputies received a report of a shooting in the 1500 block of Northwest Seventh Avenue. When deputies arrived, they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. Fire rescue pronounced one of the men dead at the scene, while the other was taken to the hospital. The deceased was identified as Robert Vaughn. As detectives investigated the shooting, they learned that Vaughn and another man were gambling in the front yard of the home when an argument broke out between Davis Jr., who was also gambling. Police said that Davis Jr. then pulled out a gun and fired several shots, which struck Vaughn and the second victim.
