New details were released on Saturday after one person was killed in the Everglades when two airboats collided. According to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, at around 6:20 p.m. on Friday, two airboats that were traveling through the wetlands of the Francis S. Taylor Management Area collided. After the collision, the operator who carried two people in the airboat was airlifted to the hospital, where he died.
