One woman was hospitalized and another woman is now facing charges after an argument on TikTok led to a shooting in Miami, police said.

The incident happened Tuesday night when authorities responded to a ShotSpotter alert in the 1100 block of Northwest 57th Street and found the victim nearby with a gunshot wound to her leg, an arrest report said.

The victim was hospitalized in stable condition.

Officers also found six bullet casings and spoke with a witness who said the shooting started with a fight at Miller Dawkins Park at Northwest 8th Avenue and Northwest 48th Street.

The witness, the victim and another witness went to the park to meet up with other females to fight over ongoing arguments held through TikTok Live, the report said.

After the fights, the victim and witnesses walked to the victim's house, where the witness believed they were followed, and a short time later they received a call or text to come outside and continue fighting, the report said.

They went outside and got into a verbal argument with a group that had arrived and at one point, a man in the group who was wearing a mask reached into his waistband, the report said.

The witness said she started running then heard gunshots, and after the shooting she found the victim screaming with a gunshot wound to her leg.

Surveillance footage showed the man pull out the gun and point it at a group before he holstered it and started walking away, the report said.

The footage then showed the suspect, 41-year-old Celia Penichet Lopez, shooting at the man before the man returned fire, hitting the victim, the report said.

Penichet Lopez later told investigators the man fired first so she returned fire, but when she was shown the surveillance footage she admitted she fired first, the report said.

 After reviewing the surveillance footage and the offender's statement, it was determined that the male was not a threat and was actively removing himself from the area when the defendant decided to discharge her firearm at him,  the report said.
