Add Us On Google Add as a preferred source on Google MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Memphis police arrested a shooting suspect they found hiding in a dryer. Branden Scott, 36, was wanted for a shooting on Eastline Drive on September 26. The victim told police he met Scott at his apartment to retrieve some tools when an argument broke out and things escalated into a fistfight. Scott allegedly went inside and came back out with an assault rifle, opening fire on the victim five times before the gun jammed. The victim was able to get in his car and escape, and two more shots were fired as he drove away, leaving bullet holes in his Mercedes Benz. An arrest warrant was issued for Scott on charges of attempted second-degree murder and employing a firearm during a dangerous felony. Four days later officers found Scott hiding in a dryer at a home on Creekwood Drive. He was taken into custody.
