MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - A 19-year-old is facing murder charges for a deadly Whitehaven shooting that occurred in November.

According to the affidavit, on November 21, Memphis police responded to a shooting call at an apartment complex in the 4800 block of Farris Circle. Officers found a victim identified as Travarious Griffin suffering from several gunshot wounds. Griffin was taken to Regional One, where he later died.

Police collected video footage showing the suspect leaving the scene in a black sedan with tinted windows. and black rims.

A witness told police she was reportedly doing the victim's hair before the shooting occurred. She also said she witnessed Tyler Siggers, 19, shoot Griffin and leave in a black Audi. The witness provided officers with Siggers' social media account, where they posted photos of Siggers and the suspected vehicle.

The witness positively identified Siggers in a six-person photo display.

The suspect's car was later found abandoned less than three miles away from the scene.

Siggers was charged with first-degree murder, employing a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony, and theft of property $10,00-$60,000 to wit: auto theft.
