MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - A man pleaded guilty to a 2024 murder, according to the Shelby County District Attorney's Office.

Deangelo Miller pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and aggravated robbery.

Miller will serve 26 years in prison for the murder charge; he was sentenced to another 8 years for the aggravated robbery, but those sentenced will run concurrently.

Prosecutors say Miller shot and killed Gary Keefer Jr. in November 2024 during a planned robbery. The shooting happened on Burdock Avenue in South Memphis.

The police report states that Miller met Keefer through Facebook and agreed to a drug deal. While there, Miller pointed a gun at Keefer and tried to rob him.

After the two struggled over a bag, Miller fired two shots, killing Keefer.
