MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Memphis police are investigating a shooting in Midtown on Tuesday morning that left a man fighting for his life.

The shooting happened just before 11:15 a.m. in the 1000 block of Roland Street. Officers located a man suffering from a gunshot wound, who was then transported to the hospital in critical condition.

Investigators on the scene currently have one man detained for questioning.
