MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The Memphis Police Department is investigating after a police chase left three people injured, including an officer.

At 3:55 a.m., officers responded to a suspicious person call on Ridge Lake Blvd at the Hilton Hotel.

When officers arrived, they learned that a black sedan on the parking lot was possibly breaking into vehicles.

Officers located the vehicle, and the driver intentionally struck one of the MPD squad cars.

MPD initiated a chase, during which the suspect vehicle struck a second MPD squad car.

The pursuit ended near the intersection of Thomas St. and Corrine Ave, after the suspect vehicle lost a tire and became disabled.

Three male suspects and one female suspect fled on foot and were later taken into custody.

A female suspect and one male suspect were transported to the hospital with non-critical injuries, where they were treated and released.

One MPD officer was also transported to the hospital with non-critical injuries, while three additional MPD officers were treated at the scene for injuries.
