A Pomona Police Department employee faces seven felony charges in connection with an alleged drunken-driving and hit-and-run crash that injured three people in Chino, the San Bernardino County District Attorney's Office announced Friday. Richard Aguiar, 50, is charged with three counts of driving under the influence of alcohol causing injury, three counts of driving with a blood alcohol level of 0.08% or higher causing injury and one count of hit-and-run driving resulting in injury. WATCH HERE WATCH HERE Prosecutors also allege Aguiar had a blood alcohol level of 0.15% or higher and caused injuries to more than one person. According to the District Attorney's Office, Aguiar was driving south on Monte Vista Avenue at about 8:15 p.m. July 26 when he struck a vehicle and fled the scene. Investigators allege Aguiar continued south at about 75 mph in a 40 mph zone before sideswiping another vehicle. Prosecutors said the collision caused that vehicle to leave the roadway and strike a tree. Aguiar's vehicle also hit a tree. Three people were injured in the crashes, according to the DA.
