Williams pleaded guilty to downgraded charges of murder in the 2021 deaths of Donyavia Lagway, 29, and Gregory Carhee, 35, and their daughter, Harmony, 6. Melissa Phillip/Houston Chronicle Relatives of a slain Houston couple and child stood up and looked straight at Alexus Williams as they blamed her for the 2021 shooting that killed all three of them. One family member said she wished Williams had received a harsher punishment - like the death sentence the convicted shooter, Xavier Davis, received following his 2025 trial for killing Donyavia Lagway, Gregory Carhee and their 6-year-old daughter, Harmony. Williams was sentenced to 40 years in prison for three counts of murder for her role in directing Davis to the family's apartment with the promise of money, according to prosecutors. Davis did not know the family, but Williams previously dated Lagway. Houston Chronicle Logo Want more Houston Chronicle? Make us a Preferred Source on Google to see more of us when you search.
