The Brief A toddler was found in possession of a loaded firearm at a Canton daycare on Monday. Canton police say a parent of the toddler is in custody after the firearm was found. It's not clear how the toddler got ahold of the handgun.

Editor's note: A previous version of this story erroneously reported that the parent in custody is a police officer from a neighboring department. That is not the parent who was in police custody. And the report erroneously stated the owner of the firearm is a police officer from a neighboring department. As of this writing, police haven't identified who owns the weapon. FOX 2 regrets these errors.
