WAYNE COUNTY, Mich. - A Canton Township man is facing multiple charges for allegedly possessing child pornography. Julio Cesar Maldonado, 32, was charged with second-degree criminal sexual conduct, aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material, aggravated sexually abusive activity and using a computer to commit a crime. Julio Cesar Maldonado (WDIV) According to Michigan State Police, Maldonado was arrested following an investigation stemming from a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the Internet Crimes Against Children when it was learned that Maldonado may have been producing and manufacturing illicit content on the internet. Police searched his home and seized digital evidence. Maldonado was arraigned in court on Sept. 18 and was given a 100,000 bond. He is expected to return to court on Oct. 2 for a probable cause conference. The Michigan State Police Computer Crimes Unit encourages parents to talk with their children about safe internet use.
