GRAND BLANC TOWNSHIP, Mich. - Nearly a year after a deadly shooting and devastating fire, a church in Grand Blanc Township is set to be rebuilt. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Grand Blanc Township on McCandlish Road was under attack on Sept. 28, 2025. Four people died, and several others were injured after a gunman crashed his truck into the church, opened fire on congregants and set the building ablaze. The FBI said this was a targeted act of violence, citing the shooter's anti-religious beliefs against the Mormon community as the motivation.
