MACOMB COUNTY, Mich. - A woman accused of leading a police chase in a stolen U-Haul van before crashing it in the middle of a Macomb County intersection has pleaded no contest. Jennifer Roe, 47, of Clinton Township, was charged with one count of third-degree fleeing, one count of receiving and concealing a stolen motor vehicle and one count of reckless driving. (Courtesy of the Macomb County Sheriff's Office) On May 28, police received reports of a stolen U-Haul and began pursuing the van after a Flock camera in Clinton Township detected it. The driver, later identified as Roe, sped off when officers tried to pull over the van, and police said they pursued the van until it entered Mount Clemens. After running a red light in Macomb Township, the U-Haul driver was struck by another vehicle, causing it to roll over. Emergency personnel had to cut the windshield out of the vehicle to extricate Roe, though no injuries were reported.
