BRUCE TOWNSHIP, Mich. - A 3-year-old boy and his grandparents were hospitalized on Wednesday after getting attacked by their family dogs. The Macomb County Sheriff's Office says Animal Control was dispatched to the area of 34 Mile Road in Bruce Township after receiving reports of an attack involving three dogs. Investigators say the dogs attacked the boy while he was exiting a nearby pond, prompting his 68-year-old grandfather and 62-year-old grandmother to intervene. Both the grandmother and the child suffered significant, non-life threatening injuries during the attack, according to the sheriff's office, and the grandfather sustained minor injuries. All three individuals remain hospitalized in stable condition. Two of the dogs involved in the attack died at the scene, while the third was transported to a veterinarian where it was humanely euthanized. An investigation into the attack remains ongoing. #clickondetroit #CrimeInTheD ®
