An estimated 10,000 pounds of illegal fireworks were seized when Pasadena police served a search warrant over the weekend at a building in Los Angeles, authorities said Tuesday. The warrant was served Friday in the 6300 block of Whitter Boulevard, where investigators said the illegal fireworks were stored for distribution in Los Angeles and cities in the San Gabriel Valley. Four people were arrested in the operation, which authorities said is believed to be related to a criminal street gang that smuggles fireworks from neighboring Nevada.
