Chicago police were questioning a person of interest in a deadly shooting in the city's South Austin neighborhood, authorities said. The shooting was reported at around 10 p.m. Friday along North Latrobe Avenue near West Thomas Street. Police said officers responded to a call of a person shot and discovered a 34-year-old man who was unresponsive after being shot in the chest.
