Some Inglewood residents have complained about traffic disruptions due to World Cup games at Los Angeles Stadium, prompting responses from the city and Metro.

In a video posted to social media, a woman claims that she was unable to return to her home in Inglewood because of a World Cup game that took place in the area Monday night.

 We wanted to enter our house and they told us that we could not enter, that no one was allowed and that if we wanted to enter, we should leave the car parked nearby,  said Samhyra Sosa.

According to Sosa, they were only allowed to enter on foot.

 They told us, go around to the other side so you can get in. We went, and there they told us we couldn't go that way either,  said Sosa.

Sosa was in the car with her mother and father, who was driving the car, according to the social media video.

 My dad tried to show them the ID that we lived here, but they said no,  Sosa said.

In the video, Sosa is seen talking to an officer, explaining that she needs to get home and that she lives on the street where the crossing was closed. She tells the officer that they had just come from the other side and were told to go the opposite way.

 I'm asking you to go back,  the officer is heard saying in the video.

Sosa tried to explain to the officer that her mother has a disability and can't walk home if they park too far away.

 My back hurts, my foot hurts, there are times when I can't move my body,  said Mayra Sosa, Samhyra's mother.

Initially, Inglewood Mayor James Butts, Jr. said this was not a deployment by the Inglewood Police Department and was not related to FIFA. According to Butts, this was done by Metro, through a contract with the city of Inglewood, to assemble the buses.

In a statement, Metro said that  Due to heavy traffic congestion on Monday in the area during the World Cup, Metro requested assistance from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department to facilitate the movement of buses in and out of the area.
