Two broad daylight shootings erupted in the Times Square area Thursday afternoon - and a 26-year-old man was stabbed in the neck amid the chaos, police said.

The two separate shootings were just two blocks away from each other. The first happened around 3:38 p.m. when someone opened fire near W. 44th St. and Seventh Ave., according to police, sending scores of people scrambling for cover. No one was injured.

About two minutes later, more gunfire broke out, on W. 45th St. at Eighth Ave., police said. No one was struck by bullets - but a 26-year-old man was stabbed in the neck in connection with the incident, cops said.

Medics rushed the victim in stable to Mount Sinai Morningside. He is expected to recover.

Cops arrested a 17-year-old boy at the scene of the first shooting, police said. The teen, who is from Brooklyn, was charged with reckless endangerment and criminal weapons possession. He has previously been arrested five times, including once for criminal mischief, according to a police source. The details on the other four arrests are sealed.

No arrests have been made in connection with the second shooting or the stabbing - though cops recovered ballistic evidence tied to the shooting, police said.

The investigations are ongoing.

The Midtown shootings occurred the same day more than 2 million people lined the streets in lower Manhattan for a ticker-tape parade celebrating the Knicks' first NBA championship win in more than half a century.

Early Sunday morning, also in Times Square, hours after the Knicks' Game 5 win to clinch the championship, a 17-year-old boy was shot in the foot at 42nd St. and Broadway around 2 a.m. Two teens, 17 and 18, were arrested for gun possession in connection with the incident.
