Add Us On Google Add as a preferred source on Google ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) -A 55-year-old woman has been accused of shooting and killing a 54-year-old man Saturday evening in North City. According to St. Louis Metropolitan Police, District 6 officers responded to the 1400 block of E. Obear Avenue at around 6:20 p.m. The man was inside a residence and was pronounced dead at the scene. A woman, 55, was also at the scene and is a potential suspect. She has been detained and interviewed by detectives. The man was later identified as Richard Richardson. Court records state Constance Shantate Mason, 55, is being charged with one count of first-degree murder and one count of armed criminal action. (City of St. Louis) Documents state a caller reported the shooting and said Mason had just killed the man. Mason and Richardson had been in a relationship for three years and were living together at the address. Police found the Richardson lying down in the kitchen, unconscious and not breathing, with an injury to the head. Mason was still at the scene and was taken into custody. Officers found a gun in the kitchen and a cartridge casing on the floor.
