EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. (First Alert 4) - One person was killed in a shooting in East St. Louis on Monday morning.

Illinois State Police said Monday the shooting occurred at 8:34 a.m. on Church Lane. Law enforcement located a victim with multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Illinois State Police said the investigation is in its infancy and there is no other information at this time.
