MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - A man is fighting to survive after a shooting in South Memphis on Saturday, according to the Memphis Police Department.

MPD officers arrived on the scene of Willie Mitchell Boulevard and Trigg Avenue just after 2 p.m. and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

The man was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Memphis Police said this is an active investigation.
