ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - An Atlanta airport brawl ended with a Frontier Airlines passenger facing charges.

Atlanta police said they were called to gate T17 at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport on Tuesday regarding a dispute between a Frontier manager and a passenger.

When officers arrived, the passenger, Kristina Lopez Lujan, was being denied boarding because she under the influence and causing a disturbance, according to police.

The Frontier manager was standing inside the plane while Lujan was standing in the entranceway,  using profanity and screaming at the manager. 

That's when Lujan allegedly hit the manager in her face. The manager then pushed Lujan away to defend herself.

Lujan and the manager continued fighting on the jet bridge, during which Lujan was cut on the side of her head and the manager suffered scratches on her knuckles, face and the side of her neck.

Lujan also allegedly pulled out the manager's braids, leaving a bald spot.

Officers broke up the fight and detained Lujan, who was taken to a hospital to receive treatment for the cut on her head.

Lujan was traveling from New Jersey to San Francisco, with a connecting flight on Frontier in Atlanta. Police said she was traveling with two dogs, which were released to a family friend.

Lujan was charged with simple battery, public drunkenness and disorderly conduct. She will be taken to the Clayton County Jail once she's released from the hospital.
