WATCH HERE WATCH HERE He was my oldest son, I was very proud of him, said his mother Dunyel Green. He was not what we see on day-to-day basis. He has never been to jail. It was always school, work, family and fun later. He was on the honor roll. That is who he was. He loved his family, his siblings but most of all, he loved football. His dream was to go to the NFL. The night of June 30, everything changed for D'Marion and his family. His mother says she was told that shortly after D'Marion got off a boat, he offered to help a woman with her bag. Whoever this young lady was, she was with several guys and one of the guys hollered, 'he is trying to talk to your girl,' my son said, 'no, it is not like that.. just trying to help.' The guy came and swung at him and they began fighting. The police stopped the guy he was fighting and talked to him. Chicago police say D'Marion was later found on the ground with a gunshot wound. The case remains open and unsolved. My son was hit in the chest and the head for being a gentleman. Police cannot make an arrest because no one is stepping up, Dunyel said. I need people to step up so this person can be held accountable for what they did. Somebody definitely saw something. Somebody heard something. Speak out, speak up, please.
