Surveillance video obtained by NBC Chicago shows people rush to help a 7-year-old girl who was stabbed to death and detain the suspect. The girl was later identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office as Eddimar Paola Hernández Chacón. Ald. Michelle A. Harris, of the city's 8th Ward, said Eddimar and her 16-year-old sister were in the area to pay a phone bill at the Boost Mobile store. The sisters were followed by the woman after leaving the store. Authorities haven't said what, if anything, prompted the attack. On Sunday, relatives gathered for a vigil, where they called for justice for their young loved one. A prayer circle formed as family members and neighbors gathered to mourn, and white balloons were released into the sky in Eddimar's memory. #nbcchicago #crimewatchchicago
