A 33-year-old man has died after he was struck by a driver while riding a bicycle in Garfield Park Sunday morning.

According to Chicago police, the man was riding a bicycle in the 200 block of North Homan at approximately 6:06 a.m. Sunday when he was struck by the driver of a two-door sedan.

The man was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the vehicle refused medical attention for a hand injury, according to police.

No further information was available, and citations are pending in the case, police said.
