(Atlanta News First) - A convicted felon has been charged with murder in a deadly arson at a southwest Atlanta apartment complex last week, police said Friday. Around 9:45 p.m. on Sept. 23, firefighters were first called to the apartment complex in the 1700 block of Stanton Road in Pomona Park for a reported fire. The fire was contained to one unit and was out by the time crews arrived. Firefighters found a man, possibly in his 20s, dead inside the apartment, fire officials said. Authorities have not released the man's identity. Firefighters said the man's death seemed suspicious, so they called in the Atlanta police and arson investigators.
