ng as they followed the suspects through traffic. Unclear to PIT right now. Too much traffic, one officer can be heard saying. Later, another officer says, I've just got too much traffic right now. Yeah, I agree, you're doing good, another officer responds. Rivera told Channel 2 Action News that officers have to rely on their training while simultaneously evaluating everything happening around them. You gotta go based off your training, but in the meantime, while you're pursuing, you gotta look at all your factors, Rivera said. Fincher said the goal was not simply to chase the suspects. Our job and priority in that situation is not to drive fast for as long as we can. It's to end the threat to the public, Fincher said. That fleeing vehicle is a 2,000-pound missile going through the streets, he added. Fincher said his first PIT maneuver spun the suspects' car around, but the driver was able to recover and continue fleeing. He said the driver was bobbing and weaving through traffic and brake-checking officers in an attempt to prevent them from making contact with the vehicle. The dash camera eventually captures Fincher spotting another opportunity. Traffic is moving. They see me. Here's my opening! he can be heard saying. Fincher then used his cruiser to hit the back of the Chevrolet Malibu, spinning the vehicle and bringing the pursuit to an end just inside Douglas County. Officers surrounded the car and took both suspects into custody. It is one of the highest stress environments that you can imagine in those situations, and you gotta be right, Fincher said. Suspects wanted in Tennessee Police identified the two suspects as Rickora Walker and Joshua Brownlee. Information provided to Channel 2 Action News by Nashville police shows Walker was wanted in connection with several cases in Tennessee, including a case that ultimately led to an attempted second-degree murder indictment. Nashville police said Walker was arrested in February on charges of accessory after the fact, reckless endangerment and aggravated assault stemming from a November 2025 shooting outside the A.A. Birch Building courthouse in downtown Nashville. According to Nashville police, a woman was shot in the shoulder after approaching a Dodge Journey following an argument near the courthouse. Investigators alleged Walker was driving the vehicle. Police said the victim later identified Walker in a photo lineup, and courthouse surveillance video showed Walker driving the Dodge Journey before, during and after the shooting. Nashville police told Channel 2 Action News that a Davidson County grand jury later indicted Walker on a charge of attempted second-degree murder in the case. Police said Walker failed to appear in court on the indictment in August, resulting in a bench warrant. Records provided to Channel 2 Action News also show Walker had outstanding warrants connected to allegations of vandalism, theft of property and theft of services. In one April case, Nashville police allege Walker stole a Ring doorbell camera from her mother's home after arriving there with a knife and banging on the door. In a separate case, investigators allege Walker ripped another doorbell camera from the home of her brother before climbing onto his vehicle and stomping on the windshield until it was destroyed. Police say both suspects used stolen hotel rewards Brownlee was also wanted on a theft-of-services warrant stemming from an investigation in Goodlettsville, Tennessee. Police records show Brownlee and Walker were accused of using other people's hotel rewards accounts to obtain free stays at a Hampton Inn in May. Investigators said the two checked into rooms using rewards belonging to people in Ohio and Illinois. Both account holders told the hotel they did not know Walker or Brownlee and had not booked the rooms, according to police. Police said the hotel was owed $935.77 for the stays. According to the police report, hotel employees confronted Walker and Brownlee on June 2 and told them they would have to pay for the rooms. Investigators said the two became belligerent and fled when employees called police. Months later, the two were together again when officers encountered them in DeKalb County. Their arrests followed a pursuit across several metro Atlanta jurisdictions before the PIT maneuver finally brought the car to a stop in Douglas County. Both Walker and Brownlee remained in the DeKalb County Jail Thursday as authorities worked through the cases and warrants against them.
